Job summary

Net2Source (N2S) is seeking a Windchill developer to lead design, customization, and integration efforts within Windchill 12.x+ environments. You will build and validate features across PLM modules, implement RESTful services, and optimize data models while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role demands hands-on Java-based development, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record with Windchill environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design and development/customization of Windchill 12.x and above.
• Strong PLM domain knowledge and Windchill module familiarity (Part, Change, Workflow).
• Experience with Windchill APIs, REST services and data modeling.

Job description

PTC Windchill developers will need to develop/debug code leveraging Windchill technology builds stacks, APIs and Java docs., retrofit the existing code for deprecated APIs etc. and run unit and system integration tests to validate PTC Windchill PLM software functionality featuring capabilities around part creation, BOM management, document control, and change workflows, UI, Server-side validations, task processors etc. relying heavily on custom code validation.

Job Description

• Working on activities and assignments for Windchill and providing expertise and assistance to the projects for resolution of issues and execution of processes.
• Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints. Understanding database administration, database design, and performance tuning.
• Analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions. Business Process Knowledge of assigned areas and functions.
• Follows quality processes for tasks with appropriate reviews. Participates in sharing knowledge within the team.
• 3+ year experience in design & development/customization of Windchill 12.x & above.
• Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
• Very good understanding of Windchill Part Management, Change Management and Workflow modules
• Experience in large Windchill Implementation and Migration projects
• Understanding database administration, database design. Software programming skills necessary to create and maintain host based and/or web-based applications.
• Excellent knowledge of
• Platforms: PTC Windchill PDMLink, Windchill ProjectLink, Windchill PartsLink, Windchill ERP connector, CCD build Package, Windchill Plus (SaaS/Cloud architecture).
• Frameworks: Windchill Foundation, JCA (Java Client Architecture), MVC components.
• Visualization: WVS (Windchill Visualization Services), Creo View adapters, worker configuration.
• APIs: Windchill APIs, Remote Method Invocation (RMI), Service/Persistence layer APIs.
• Integration: REST services, Windchill OData, Info*Engine
• Build & Config: Apache Ant, Maven, Windchill shell commands
• Data Model: Windchill data model and database ER details
• Migration Tools: Windchill Load From File framework, Upgrade Manager, data utility validators.
• Code Analysis: Code merge utilities, deprecated API analysis, schema diff tools.
• Legacy Data: Custom data clean-up scripts, load files (wt.load.LoadFromFile), CAD structure remediation.
• Version Control: Git, SVN and/or similar tools
• Ability to write SQL queries, database procedures
• Knowledge of quality processes and their implementation. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
