The Tech One Program (TOP) is a structured career development program for entry-level wind technicians, developed in partnership between industry leaders Sky Climber Renewables and Vestas Americas.

Job Summary:

The TOP Wind Service Technicians will undergo exclusive wind safety and technical training accredited by the Global Wind Organization (GWO). They will primarily work at wind site locations near their homes, on a service team to perform safe and efficient wind turbine maintenance. Reports directly to the Program Manager and Site Manager, and indirectly to the Lead Technician during jobs. Responsibilities include preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbine generator equipment, focusing on machinery used in power generation, turbines, and generators. They are not certified to work inside cabinets or controllers without supervision by a certified Electrical Technician. Additional duties may be assigned to meet customer needs and align with Sky Climber's mission and values.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time
• High School Diploma / GED and an Associate Degree in Mechanical or Wind Energy from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience
• Training includes Basic Safety, Tower Safety, Mechanical/Electrical/ Hydraulic Technical Training, LOTO, and others; must pass background and drug screening

Desired Characteristics:

• Passion for safety and service excellence
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude preferred
• Proficiency in reading English, diagrams, schematics, MS Office
• Initiative, adaptability, teamwork, following instructions, organizational skills, willingness to learn

Physical Requirements:

• Climb 300-foot towers multiple times daily
• Work at heights, in confined spaces, and handle weights up to 50 lbs
• Complete climb tests and rescue training successfully

Responsibilities
