Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Wind Technician for the Deuel County Energy Center in Gary, SD. You will operate and maintain GE wind turbines, conduct inspections, and perform repairs, with safety as a core requirement.

The role requires outdoor work in varied weather, climbing to heights, and physical tasks. A high school diploma and 1 year of technical experience are needed, along with a valid US license and eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• Must work outdoors in inclement weather and at heights >80 meters.
• Able to move up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• Valid driver’s license and clean record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbines and related equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily with safety gear to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of turbine components.
• Troubleshoot faults and repair/replace components as needed.
• Maintain tools, facilities and a safe working environment.
• Work a 40 hour week with overtime during peak maintenance periods.
