Qualifications

  • Proven experience in wind turbine maintenance highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems in wind turbines.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring safe and efficient turbine operation.
  • Monitor and document turbine performance, including data collection and analysis.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to optimize turbine performance and minimize downtime.
  • Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

About the role

We seek a skilled and motivated Traveling Wind Technician II to join our team. As a Wind Technician II, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our wind turbines, contributing to clean and renewable energy production. A wind technician
is responsible for performing maintenance tasks on wind turbines within.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically 90% of the time, as required.
  • Ability and willingness to operate heavy equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to signal and rig loads up to 100 tons.
  • Ability and willingness to work and climb heights a minimum of 300ft.
  • Ability to meet specific OSHA weight limits of 250 to 300lbs max.
  • Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability and willingness to handle repetitive weight - 50 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments including but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities.
  • Ability and willingness to be available for rotation shift schedules 24 hours, seven days a week
