Job summary

Siemens Gamesa in Orlando, FL seeks a field service technician to perform predefined technical tasks, assist with commissioning, and support wind turbine projects on-site and remotely. You will work with a team to ensure reliability and safety while adhering to procedures.

Requirements include at least two years of wind experience, strong communication skills, ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, and a clean driving record. Medical clearance and housing flexibility may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years wind experience with major component exchange experience or similar (turbine erection and decommission).
• Basic computer and iPad use skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physically and mentally able to work suspended from heights and in confined spaces.
• Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 lbs. or less as required by the equipment safety regulations.
• Must pass a medical examination by a medical professional to ensure ability to safely perform job functions.
• Must have clean driving record and pass pre-hire drug screening and ability to obtain a Company American Express card.
• Driving is an essential function; valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.

• Coordinates and accomplishes defined service operations and/or resolves product issues for customers equipment.

• Work in stressful and dangerous situations, and contribute to developing new field procedures and standard methodologies.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently and efficiently.
• Actively work on wind turbine projects and identify and report all incidents or near misses.
