Invenergy's Plymouth Wind Energy Center near Marcus, IA seeks a Wind Technician to operate and maintain a 202.74 MW wind facility. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance and climb turbines as needed.

The role requires at least 1 year of technical experience or relevant education, outdoor work capability in all weather, and a valid driver's license. The position includes overtime during peak maintenance and safety training opportunities.

Qualificações

• 1 year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders to heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
• Ability to move up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

About the Site

The Plymouth Wind Energy Center is a 202.74 MW wind power generation facility located near Marcus, IA utilizing GE 2.3 and 2.82 MW turbine technology.

Position Overview

As a Wind Technician you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Plymouth Wind Energy Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment
• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime. The work schedule will vary during the peak maintenance periods

Required Skills

Base Pay

$29.49 - $49.97 USD Hourly

Bonus: 0% - 10%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
