Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Wind Technician for the Willow Creek Energy Center in Ione, Oregon. This site-based role operates five days a week and focuses on routine mechanical and electrical maintenance of GE wind turbines, ensuring safe and reliable energy production.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of technical experience, and the physical ability to work outdoors, climb towers, and lift heavy components. OSHA safety awareness is required.

• Outdoor work in inclement weather; climb ladders; work at heights over 80 meters (250 ft).
• Weight/physical ability requirements and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and related equipment.
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing safety gear, to inspect, maintain or repair components.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of turbine systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults and replace components as needed.
• Maintain tools, facilities and a safe, clean work environment; adhere to schedule and overtime as needed.

Wind Technician

Location

This is a site-based position, not a traveling role. You will be working out of the Ione, OR site 5 days per week.

Position Overview

As a Wind Technician you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Willow Creek Energy Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment
• Work a 40-hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime. The work schedule will vary during the peak maintenance periods

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Base Pay

$29.49 - $49.97 USD Hourly

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position.
