Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Wind Technician to operate and maintain the Chickasaw Wind Energy Center near New Hampton, IA. The role involves routine maintenance on Siemens Gamesa and GE turbines, tower climbing, and ensuring a safe, efficient facility.

The position requires outdoor work, mechanical and electrical aptitude, and compliance with safety protocols. Base pay ranges with bonuses and a pathway to participate in company programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 80 meters.
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 265 lbs excluding equipment worn.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime. The work schedule will vary during the peak maintenance periods

About The Site

Chickasaw Wind Energy is a 202.4 MW wind power generation facility located near New Hampton, IA utilizing SGRE 3.1-129 and GE 2.82-127 turbine technology.

Position Overview

As a Wind Technician you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Chickasaw Wind Energy Center.

• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year technical experience (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 124 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Base Pay$29.49 - $49.97 USD Hourly Bonus: 0% - 10% The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
