Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Maverick Creek Wind Site Technician II to ensure smooth turbine operation, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and system issue resolution.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and hands-on work at wind sites with opportunities for growth and training through GWO programs. A sign-on bonus may apply for eligible candidates and BST/BTT/ART certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• Wind Technician certificate or 1 year of wind turbine experience or 2 years in mechanical/electrical fields.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and safety-focused approach.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Physically fit and comfortable at heights, able to follow English instructions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair wind turbines with the team to keep communities powered.
• Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.
• Collaborate with the team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
• Document work and improve operational processes.
• Accurately time code all work activities to track duration and efficiency.
