Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Scottsdale, AZ, to support wind turbine operations across the United States. The role emphasizes first-line field support, data collection, investigations, and developing maintenance procedures to improve turbine availability from day one.

You will work with wind farm teams to prepare reports, perform field inspections, and assist in the transition of projects from construction to operations. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering or field operations in wind energy.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis abilities.
• Experience communicating complex technical information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot wind farm equipment with operations teams.
• Collect site data and contribute insights for engineering actions.
• Perform field investigations and generate reports on failures.
• Develop field inspection documentation and checklists.
• Support maintenance and performance optimization programs.
• Maintain records and compile reports per company policy.
• Travel up to 50% to Clearway Energy sites.
