Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Safety and Technical Specialist to join our offsite office. The role trains new team members and establishes safe work behaviors while developing and implementing safety training to promote a safe work environment.

Responsibilities include delivering environmental, occupational health, safety, and wind energy systems training, evaluating understanding, and maintaining training records. The position requires travel up to 30% and relocation to Tonkawa area if needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year wind turbine service/maintenance experience
• HS diploma or GED required
• Associate degree in Safety/Health or Wind Tech preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA/DOT regs for wind energy
• GWO Instructor Qualification Training preferred
• First-Aid/CPR trainer certification preferred
• OSHA 501 and 511 preferred
• Experience delivering curriculum in classroom and real-world settings
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Willing to relocate to Tonkawa, OK area or nearby
• Up to 30% travel
• Ability to plan and present EHS training programs
• MS Office proficiency
• Strong interpersonal communication
• Ability to train on multiple subjects and check trainee understanding

Responsibilities

• Deliver training on environmental, occupational health, safety, and technical topics
• Evaluate trainee understanding with tests or practical exercises
• Provide GWO BST, BTT, ART, and SLS training
• Provide initial and refresher 1st Aid, CPR, AED training
• Maintain safety-related documents and records
• Develop and maintain training documentation and LMS
• Perform other related duties as assigned
