Job summary

Laveer Engineering is seeking a Wind Drivetrain Technician in Piedmont, SC, who will perform crucial up-tower drivetrain repairs and mechanical upgrades on wind turbines. This role requires substantial travel as technicians must identify issues and complete repairs safely in the field.

Responsibilities include gearbox and bearing repairs, drivetrain disassembly, generator work, and commissioning support. Candidates must hold relevant certifications and be prepared for extensive travel.

Qualifications

• Valid certifications in GWO, BST, ART, and BTT are mandatory.

About The Role

The Wind Drivetrain Technician performs up‑tower drivetrain repairs and mechanical upgrades on wind turbines. The technician must identify issues and complete repairs safely in the field.

Qualifications

• Valid GWO, BST, ART, and BTT certifications
• Experience with wind turbine gearboxes, including Winergy, Nanjing, ZF, or equivalent
• High School Diploma or GED
• Pass background check and drug screening
• Valid driver's license (required to operate company vehicles)
• Willingness to travel 100%

Estimated base salary range: $26/hour to $40/hour.
