Job summary

Nidec in the United States is seeking production staff to operate equipment and assemble windings for motors. Starting hourly rates are $25.67 for skilled labor and $21.83 for production, with increases over 12 months. Sign-on bonus, 401k contributions from day one, paid holidays and paid vacation are offered.

1st shift starts at 7:00am; 2nd shift pays 5% premium for 40 hours; 3rd shift carries a 10% premium. Requires a high school diploma or GED and ability to read and follow work orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and write and follow work orders and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Properly prepares cores to receive wiring.
• Properly installs all individual parts including wires, slot winders, coil separators and topsticks.
• Installs phase sheets or felts, thermocouples or RTD, rtps and taps.
• Ensures proper material, assembly techniques and tolerances are being met.
• Makes general decisions as to quality of products and adjustments.
• Exercies good housekeeping in work area.
• Observes good safety practices.
• Performs other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader

Job Description

Operates equipment and performs tasks to complete windings and winding components in electrical motors. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.
