Job summary

Olin is seeking a highly motivated Adjustor II Trainee to join our Shotshell production team. This role focuses on operating, changing over, and maintaining Shotshell Heading machines with a strong emphasis on quality and safety. The starting wage is $25.93/hour, with the 100% top scale wage currently $28.41/hour after completing the required time.

The schedule is a straight midnight shift. Must be 18+ with advanced mechanical and troubleshooting skills; forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Advanced mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift experience preferred; stand-up forklift experience is a plus.
• Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Wlexibility to work other shifts, weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform changeovers to multiple Shotshell Heading machines.
• Use various handheld tools to adjust machines and perform changeovers.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure processes meet standards.
• Safely operate a stand-up forklift.
• Inspect product for defects and follow quality procedures.
• Follow safety requirements including PPE and lockout/tagout.

This role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills who enjoy hands‑on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Adjustor II Trainee will learn to operate, change over, and maintain Shotshell Heading machines while ensuring consistent quality and safety standards.

Adjustor II TraineeEssential Job Functions:

• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform changeovers to multiple Shotshell Heading machines.
• Use various handheld tools to perform machine adjustments and changeovers.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure all processes meet established standards.
• Safely operate a stand-up forklift.
• Inspect product for defects and follow all quality procedures.
• Follow all safety requirements, including proper PPE usage and lockout/tagout procedures.

Adjustor II Trainee Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Advanced mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift experience preferred; stand-up forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must have flexibility to work other shifts, weekends, and forced overtime.

Location-Specific Requirements:

• This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
