Job summary

Altrad Sparrows in Houston, TX is seeking an Assembly Mechanic to perform in-shop repairs and overhauls, with focus on cranes, hydraulic components, engines, and material handling equipment. The role requires hands-on mechanical experience and the ability to work with limited supervision.

You will maintain shop tools and safety standards, provide your own hand tools, and support quality and environmental requirements across the facility.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel repair.
• Must be able to identify major crane components.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• 2+ years’ relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Overhaul winches, valves and hydraulic components.
• Perform maintenance on engines, forklifts and cherry pickers.
• Installation of new and rebuilt cranes onshore.
• Assist in overhaul of cranes in shop.
• Provide own hand tools.
• Keep shop and grounds clean and maintained.
• Maintain all shop tools, equipment and supplies.
• Know and understand Sparrows Offshore’ Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
• Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Perform all other duties as required by Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Position: Assembly Mechanic
