Job description

Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. If you are offered a position that requires a background check, you will be provided with additional documentation to complete once an offer has been extended.

Job Details:

  • Pay is $21.40 per hour.
  • Schedule is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 12:30 PM.
  • Must have previous general maintenance experience or equivalent school training documented in your work history and/or resume.
  • Knowledge to repair trucks, rebuild transmissions, rear ends, and motors is required.
  • Official MVR record must be checked post-offer and received by Tyson before the applicant is moved into the position.
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license. Motor Vehicle Requirements include being 18 years or older, having no DUI/DWI within the last 12 months.
  • Ability to understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
  • Rehiring is subject to a 91-day wait period. Candidates who have worked for Tyson Foods or affiliates 3 or more times are not eligible for rehire.
  • Must perform other duties as tasked by administration.

Position Description:

This position is responsible for diagnosing issues, adjusting, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge to repair trucks, rebuild transmissions, rear ends, and motors.
  • Job entails standing, walking, bending, stretching, twisting, turning, climbing, pushing, stooping, squatting, and reaching in all areas.
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds frequently.
  • Must tolerate climates ranging from very cold to very hot and dusty.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
