Job summary

State of Tennessee’s Wildlife Resources Agency seeks a Wildlife Technician entry/working class to perform wildlife conservation tasks and field operations in Campbell County. The role supports fish population studies and habitat maintenance under supervision.

Responsibilities include data collection, equipment operation, and basic construction and maintenance tasks. A valid license is required in some positions, with on-site duties at Pioneer, TN. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity.

Qualifications

• Experience equivalent to one year of fulltime wildlife conservation or closely related work.
• Qualifying coursework at an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Assists Wildlife Managers with studies of fish populations and collects data.
• Conducts forest and conservation work such as planting tree seedlings and maintaining facilities.
• Operates equipment like forklifts, tractors, boats, or other vehicles.
• Serves, repairs, adjusts, and tests machines and equipment used in field operations.
• Assists in constructing and maintaining buildings, roads, and trails at the agency area.
• Supports wildlife population studies and conducts habitat-related activities.
