Job summary

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department seeks a Wildlife Specialist I-III (WMA Biologist) to plan and implement natural resource management on the Chaparral Wildlife Management Area and other WMAs in South Texas. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Wildlife/Related field with at least 24 credit hours in Wildlife/Habitat Conservation or related areas.
• NRS I requires no experience; NRS II requires 2 years; NRS III requires 6 years of relevant experience.
• Must possess or obtain a valid state driver's license within 30 days; FFT II certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement natural resource management, monitoring, research duties for Chaparral Wildlife Management Area and other WMAs.
• Provide technical assistance and public outreach to private landowners, sportsmen, and the public.
• Prepare technical reports, articles, and publications; coordinate with stakeholders.
