Job summary

Audubon Nature Institute in Louisiana seeks a Guest Engagement Specialist to join the Learning & Engagement team at Audubon Aquarium & Audubon Insectarium. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong public speaking, and ability to work holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Education, Biology, Zoology, Communications, Ecology or Environmental Education.
• Experience in informal learning environments or wildlife conservation is preferred.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends and some after-hour events.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging informal and interpretive programs for guests of all ages.
• Present live ambassador animals and conduct chats or demonstrations.
• Collaborate with animal care and guest services teams to enhance guest experience.
• Mentor and train interpretive volunteers and interns.
• Support program development related to collection and conservation messages.
• Assist with special events and non-routine programming.
