Job summary

Footloose Montana is seeking a professional writer or experienced grant writer to create a grant calendar and submit proposals to foundations we have previously partnered with, as well as seeking new opportunities.

You will collaborate with the executive director and board chair to identify optimal projects that align with grantors' objectives, maintain relationships, and ensure timely, high‑quality LOIs and applications to advance wildlife conservation in Montana.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication and the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, web-based apps, Excel, and creating financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage letters of inquiry and grant applications.
• Build and maintain relationships with grantors to support ongoing funding.
• Keep grantor personnel informed about our work and progress toward goals.
