Job summary

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Wildlife Conservation, is recruiting for a College Intern 1 in Fairbanks, Alaska. The role involves hands-on work with harvest data, wildlife information systems, and field-oriented support to biologists.

Applicants should be enrolled in an undergraduate program, able to commit to about 20 hours per week, and prepared to provide transcripts and references. Training will be provided at the Fairbanks office of ADF&G.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service mindset for hunter outreach and public interface.
• Clerical tasks include filing, typing, and form completion.

Responsibilities

• Gain proficiency in WinfoNet, the Wildlife Information Network.
• Maintain high-quality standards for harvest data entry and management.
• Assist in coding hunt locations using Uniform Coding Unit (UCU) maps.
• Verify harvest reports by contacting hunters.
• Support Wildlife Technicians with assigned duties and projects.
