Job summary

The State of Colorado is seeking an Administrator III within the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control to lead program administration and technical support for WFMS. The role focuses on financial and administrative functions, workforce management, and interagency coordination.

You will independently manage multiple priorities, provide guidance to districts and units statewide, and participate in special projects while ensuring compliance with state policies.

Qualifications

• Six years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.
• Education and experience combination equal to six years may be substituted.
• Preferred qualifications include program management, financial administration, contracts, grants, procurement, human resources, workforce administration, incident business management, training, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Administratively manage and serve as a technical resource in WFMS administrative program areas such as fire billing, contracts, budgets, purchasing, grants, and onboarding.
• Provide guidance, coordinate with internal and external partners, and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Develop training, guidance materials, and cross-train to support WFMS administrative operations.
