Job summary

Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC) is seeking a Module Captain to supervise firefighting resources in wildland operations across Colorado. The role focuses on wildfire suppression, incident response, training, and readiness of crews and equipment.

Ideal candidates will have wildland firefighting experience, supervisory background, and NWCG Single Resource Boss qualifications; travel across the state and nation may be required, with in-person work throughout Colorado.

Qualifications

• NWCG Single Resource Boss qualification (CRWB, ENGB, HMGB) preferred.
• Previous wildland firefighting experience required.
• Prior direct supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises module operations during fire suppression and incident response.
• Oversees and coordinates safety and training for assigned personnel.
• Manages crew time reporting, equipment records, and resource orders.
• Conducts performance evaluations and staffing decisions.
• Ensures readiness of crews and equipment; oversees training programs.
