Job summary

Caliberr Staffing seeks a skilled Flexographic Press Technician for a Neenah, WI facility. The role focuses on running PCMC CI presses for flexible packaging, with emphasis on setup, changeovers, and quality control.

You will monitor web tension, ink systems, color accuracy, and registration, document production data, and collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to meet delivery targets. The position offers evening hours, competitive pay up to $32 per hour plus benefits, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with Flexographic Printing Presses.
• Background in Wide Web Flexographic Press operation preferred.
• Experience with PCMC CI equipment highly desirable.
• Knowledge of flexible packaging production and flexographic printing methods.
• Familiarity with water-based and solvent-based inks.
• Proficiency in automated press controls, registration systems, tension control, and web handling.
• Ability to independently perform press setups, install anilox rolls, and mount printing plates.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Expertise in process control, print quality, and color management.
• Ability to interpret work instructions, job tickets, and production specifications.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage high-speed CI presses for flexible packaging.
• Prepare the press by mounting plates, setting up anilox rolls, and threading wide web substrates.
• Execute press setups, changeovers, and makeready tasks to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Run presses at peak capacity while managing web tension, drying, ink viscosity, and registration.
• Fine-tune press parameters for quality, color accuracy, and coating performance.
• Monitor the web to identify defects or registration errors before final product.
• Perform regular quality inspections to ensure customer and internal standards.
• Manage water-based and solvent-based ink systems for optimal performance.
• Resolve ink, substrate, or registration issues to maintain uptime.
• Complete routine equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Document production data, quality logs, and press reports.
• Adhere to GMP and safety standards; coordinate with maintenance, quality, and production.

Job description

Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.

Compensation: Earn up to $32.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and manage high-speed PCMC Central Impression (CI) Flexographic Printing Presses for flexible packaging manufacturing.
• Prepare the press by mounting plates, setting up anilox rolls, and threading wide web substrates.
• Execute press setups, changeovers, and makeready tasks to help reduce material waste and improve operational efficiency.
• Run presses at peak capacity while overseeing web tension, drying systems, ink viscosity, and registration.
• Fine-tune press parameters to ensure superior print quality, color accuracy, and coating performance.
• Monitor the web during operation to help identify and resolve print defects or registration errors before they impact the final product.
• Perform regular quality inspections to verify that all output aligns with customer requirements and internal standards.
• Manage both water-based and solvent-based ink systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Resolve technical issues regarding ink, substrates, or registration to help maintain consistent production uptime.
• Complete routine equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Document production data, quality logs, and press reports accurately.
• Adhere to all manufacturing standards, GMP protocols, and safety regulations to help foster a secure workplace.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to help achieve output targets and meet delivery deadlines.

Requirements:
