WIC REFERRAL RESOURCE SPECIALIST PART-TIME HOURLY: $13.65
SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the CA/Clinic Supervisor, performs various tasks including promoting WIC outreach, maintaining a clean environment, performing reception, clerical, and clinical duties. Tasks include explaining benefits of the Summer Food Program, distributing referrals and resources, logging temperatures, and maintaining documentation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include documenting all time worked, explaining program benefits, handing out referrals, following Summer Food Service Training instructions, providing WIC services professionally, establishing rapport with organizations and the public, preparing and cleaning up after meals, maintaining a healthy environment, traveling to other clinics, supporting breastfeeding activities, handling phone duties, performing clinic/clerical duties, obtaining consent forms, maintaining inventory, and other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of computer software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet). Effective communication skills, including Spanish speaking ability. Valid Texas Driver's License, reliable transportation, and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and during emergencies. Must pass criminal background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Good health and physical condition required to perform duties.

CONTACTS: External - health, social, educational agencies; clients. Internal - County employees, health providers, clientele.

RESPONSIBILITY: Maintain confidentiality, comply with regulations, and uphold a positive public image. Judgment and discretion are required to complete tasks effectively. Guidance provided by supervisor. Working conditions mainly in clinics, offices, or community centers.
