State of Vermont’s Springfield District Office is seeking a Nutritionist III to oversee WIC services, supervise staff, and deliver direct nutrition services to families. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with community partners, and coordination with the Vermont WIC Central Office and statewide health initiatives.

The position supports a hybrid work environment, with on-site and telework options, and reports to the Public Health Services District Director.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s degree in nutrition, nutritional sciences, community nutrition, clinical nutrition, dietetics, or public health nutrition and supervisory experience or leadership experience.
• Alternate with a Bachelor's degree: three years or more in public health nutrition including one year in supervisory role.

Responsabilités

• Lead, supervise, mentor, and support WIC staff.
• Oversee administration, quality, and continuity of district nutrition services per guidelines.
• Provide direct program coverage during vacancies or peak demand.
• Deliver direct nutrition services to WIC families.
• Develop partnerships with community organizations and healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with Vermont WIC Central Office and Department of Health colleagues.
• Participate in statewide initiatives and emergency preparedness activities.
