Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in foods and nutrition, public health, organizational leadership or related field.
• Minimum of three years’ management experience; familiarity with WIC program is highly desirable.
• Valid CPR and First-Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Maintains continuing education credits or certification as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the WIC program, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Assist with program planning and implementation and serves as a resource for staff and the community.
• Provide administrative support including reporting grant, and budget preparation.
• Ensure correct issuance of WIC food instruments and entry of certification data into RIWEBs.
• Create and deliver items in the Nutrition Education Plan.
• Stay informed about current issues related to nutrition, maternal and child health, and social justice.
• Complete quarterly reports for the state with updated information from the program.
