A leading healthcare provider in Dallas is seeking a Nutritionist to deliver nutrition care to WIC participants. The role involves dietary assessments, nutrition counseling, and collaboration with health center staff. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Dietetics and strong communication skills. Experience in WIC is preferred, along with the ability to counsel in Spanish. Provides nutrition care to WIC participants under the supervision of the Senior Nutritionist, including:
Participates in department performance improvement/quality assurance activities, department meetings, health center meetings, and WIC task force committees. Completes all required Brigham and DPH trainings and monthly reports. May provide training for dietetic interns or volunteers. Serves as a professional resource for health center staff and community agencies, providing nutrition information through individual consultations.
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Dietetics required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No. Completed internship required.
Preferred: Ability to provide nutrition counseling in Spanish (functional Spanish acceptable). Portuguese fluency desired.
Ability to travel to several WIC sites in the Boston area. Familiarity with maternal and child nutrition. Strong individual and group counseling skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong tech literacy. Strong teamwork and customer service skills.
Dietitian and Nutritionist [State License] preferred. Heartsaver CPR AED Certification [CPR] preferred. Registered Dietitian [RD] preferred. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist [RDN] preferred.
Prior WIC experience strongly preferred.
Good communication skills. Ability to evaluate and problem-solve effectively. Ability to work independently. Ability to guide, teach, and motivate all patient age populations.
