Job summary

Milwaukee Health Services is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to implement nutrition services policies in the Wisconsin WIC Operations Manual and provide individualized counseling for nutrition issues identified in client assessments.

The role includes coordination of referrals to nutrition and social services, meal planning, and education, along with staff training and program monitoring to ensure quality care for participants.

Qualifications

• Must be an RDN with CDR or eligible to complete within 6 months.
• Bachelor’s in nutrition with minimum 2 years’ related experience or Master/Doctoral with 1 year.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement direct nutrition services per WIC Operations Manual.
• Perform nutrition assessments, counseling, referrals, and education.
• Document assessments, goals, contacts, and follow-up plans.
• Coordinate outreach resources; provide staff training/orientation.
• Lead team meetings and participate in statewide/local WIC activities.
• Monitor staff performance and conduct chart/audit reviews.
• Develop nutrition displays and educational materials.
• Stay updated on policies via webinars and literature.
• Assist with staffing and clinic flow as needed.
