Job summary

State of South Carolina’s Department of Public Health is seeking a WIC Nutrition Program Leader to plan, implement, and supervise nutrition services for the WIC program. You will provide participant-centered nutrition education, counseling, and follow-up while ensuring adherence to WIC standards and protocols.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in nutrition/dietetics, public health, or related field, with experience in clinical or public health settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, public health, family and consumer sciences, health education or related with emphasis on nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate nutrition services for the WIC program.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to participants.
• Perform certifications, midcertifications, and referrals per WIC standards.
