Community Medical Centers in California seeks a Nutrition Aide Lead to provide nutrition services for WIC participants and mentor staff. You will assess nutrition, educate caretakers, ensure WIC card security, and manage scheduling under site supervision.

You will also lead breastfeeding activities, translate materials, and travel between sites as needed, while maintaining strong customer service and collaboration with the dietitian team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• WIC Nutrition Assistant (WNA) certification issued from California.
• Two years paid experience in a WIC program.
• Ability to type 35 wpm.
• Experience and ability to work with diverse clients and communities.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate before date of hire.

Responsabilités

• Greets participants and visitors in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Provide nutrition assessment, education, and counseling using participant-centered education techniques.
• Maintains WIC card security and screens eligibility for WIC participants.
• Assists with WIC WISE schedule under supervision of the site supervisor/manager.
• Issues food vouchers and instructs participants on their use.
• Mentor and train staff; lead breastfeeding groups; translate materials as needed.
• Travel to different sites as needed and support breastfeeding programs.
