Job summary

The Alliance Clinic Nutrition Educator at HACAP in Cedar Rapids will lead all nutrition education activities within the WIC and Maternal/Child Health programs, ensuring services comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

You will assess nutritional risks, coordinate trainings, and support families through education, outreach, and community partnerships, with a 40-hour work week, benefits, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Nutrition or Dietetics (licensure not required).
• Health professional with degree in health-related field acceptable.
• Must communicate effectively with diverse, low-income populations and complete Bloodborne Pathogen training within 10 days of employment and updated annually.
• Complete Child Abuse Reporter training within 6 months and update every 3 years; continuing education hours required to retain licensure.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; WIC training required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all aspects of nutrition education for WIC and Maternal/Child Health programs.
