Job summary

Ztek Consulting seeks a QA-focused WiFi tester to validate features across CPE devices such as gateways, routers, and extenders. You will perform unscripted exploratory testing, log defects with clear reproduction steps, and collaborate with developers to reproduce complex issues.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing of WiFi fundamentals, performance, and stability, with close cooperation with product teams to share findings and propose ideas based on system design.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of WiFi fundamentals.
• Hands-on testing experience with broadband gateways, routers, and mesh extenders.

Responsibilities

• Perform exploratory testing of WiFi features across CPE devices (gateways, routers, extenders).
• Validate WiFi functionality including SSID management and security modes (WPA2/WPA3, WPS).
• Test real world usage scenarios: interference, channel congestion, roaming and handoff, multi-AP behavior.
• Log high-quality defects with detailed observations, logs, and reproduction steps.
• Analyze logs, packet captures, and system traces for issue triage.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams to share findings and reproduce issues.
• Execute limited scripted/regression testing, with primary focus on unscripted exploratory testing.
