Job summary

Acrisure is seeking a Production Underwriter to drive profitable growth by developing relationships with agents and carriers, underwriting new and renewal submissions, and delivering expert guidance on coverage and pricing. You will build a strong, diversified book of business and collaborate across internal teams.

The role emphasizes sales-driven production underwriting, ongoing market knowledge, and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years wholesale insurance underwriting or related experience.
Proven success in business development and production underwriting.
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting principles.
State insurance licensing as required.
Professional designations such as AU, CIC, CPCU, CRIS, or progress toward designation preferred.

Responsibilities

Drive profitable growth through business development and relationship management.
Underwrite new and renewal commercial insurance submissions with accuracy.
Prepare quotes and proposals within service standards.
Negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage with carriers and agents.
Maintain underwriting documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to maximize placement opportunities.
Mentor and support junior staff and drive knowledge sharing.
