Job summary

Truist in Orlando seeks a seasoned sales professional to lead consultative payments solutions for complex, high-revenue client groups across Commercial Community Bank, Business Connect, Small Business Banking, and Wealth Management.

You will manage a large, high-value portfolio, collaborate with bankers and product partners, and drive revenue and portfolio growth while aligning with Truist's purpose and values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • 5 years of sales experience of financial services or payment solutions.
  • Must have or obtain Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) within 12 months of entering position.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct business via virtual methods including: interpersonal communication, negotiation, proactive client contact, and financial reviews.
  • Strong knowledge of how a business operates and the financial solutions needed by the aligned segments.
  • Excellent time management and ability to manage a large pipeline of deals.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work productively without close supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in working capital services including receivables, payables, information reporting and liquidity solutions.
  • Adheres to policies and proactively escalates issues to leadership.
  • Consults with clients via email, phone, voicemail, or virtual meetings.
  • Reports on sales efforts, progression and revenue, plus other administrative reporting as required.
  • Acts as a mentor to junior consultants.

Job Description:

Responsible for consultative sales of Payments Solutions to complex and high-revenue client group (i.e., Commercial Community Bank, Business Connect, Small Business Banking/Small Business Direct, and Wealth Management) via a cash flow management/working capital approach with a focus on risk mitigation and grounded in Truist's Purpose, Mission and Values.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Executes sales plan, develops strong partnership and collaboration with line of business and other internal partners to identify and drive client/prospect sales opportunities to achieve/exceed revenue and portfolio growth objectives for assigned client portfolio.

  • Fosters relationships with bankers and product partners to collaborate on opportunities and engage in strategic client planning.

  • Independently manages a large portfolio of clients with complex payments needs, requiring expert knowledge of banking and payments solutions as well as working capital concepts.

  • Leads the development of detailed relationship plans for clients/prospects within assigned client group to identify key retention and new client acquisition opportunities.

  • Proficient in working capital services and solutions, including receivables, payables, information reporting and liquidity solutions (depending on position need, a product specialization may be required).

  • Adheres and follows all applicable policies and procedures. Proactively escalates issues and risks to leadership's attention.

  • Ability to consult with a client through various methods of communication in an effective manner (ex. email, phone, voicemail, virtual meeting, etc.).

  • Responsible for accurate reporting of sales efforts, sales effort progression and sales revenue in addition to other administrative reporting as required.

  • Considered a leader amongst peers for product knowledge and best in class strategies.

  • Subject matter expert with the most complex Wholesale Payments solutions in order to manage a larger/active portfolio with higher revenue expectations.

  • Meets with clients virtually to assess client needs, review their financial management practices and solutions, conduct cash flow cycle conversations, and make recommendations for needed solutions.

  • Coordinate fulfillment process as needed and make referrals to product experts as required.

  • Manage/solve complex servicing issues for clients, by maintaining a strong understanding of resources within Truist.

  • Meets individual performance goals of revenue/profit growth desired behaviors.

  • Serves as a mentor to junior level Consultants.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

  • 5 years of sales experience of financial services or payment solutions

  • Must have or obtain Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) within 12 months of entering position

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct business via virtual methods including: accomplished interpersonal communication, negotiation skills, proactive client contact, building rapport, understanding client needs, conducting in-depth financial reviews and effectively communicating solutions that meet client needs

  • Strong knowledge of how a business operates and the full set of financial solutions needed by the aligned business segmentations to include the financial services sales process and cycle.

  • Exceptionally strong time management and organizational skills as well as ability to manage a large pipeline of deals in various stages

  • Self-Starter with the ability to work productively without close supervision


Preferred Qualifications


  • 7+ years in financial services or direct experience in payment solutions

  • Deep knowledge of Wholesale Payments

  • Certified Treasury Professional


The annual base salary for this position is $95,000 - $160,000. Additional incentive pay is available for this position.
