Ryan Specialty is seeking a Brokerage Operations Assistant to support day-to-day brokerage activities and improve operational procedures. The role involves coordinating with brokers, preparing market renewal documents, and maintaining client data across systems.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or Risk Management and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day brokerage operations and support process improvements.
• Coordinate with the broker to prepare documents and marketing renewal materials.
• Maintain and update client information across required systems.
• Keep organized records of client accounts and transactions for compliance.
• Respond to broker inquiries via phone, email, chat, or in person.
• Support preparation of compliance reports and collaborate with risk/finance teams.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks with risk management team.
• Assist the Brokerage team with ad hoc tasks as needed.

Position Summary

RT Specialty is a leading wholesale distributor of specialty insurance products and services. Our experienced brokers are specialized in property, casualty, professional lines, transportation and workers’ compensation, providing creative solutions to retail brokerage firms. As an independent wholesale broker, we are a critical intermediary in the distribution channel from insurance carriers and retail brokers.

Location

This role will either be hybrid or full time in office depending on the office location and business need of the team.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists in executing and coordinating day-to-day brokerage operations and supports the implementation and improvement of operational procedures.
• Coordinates with the broker to prepare documents, cover letters etc. to market renewal business and provides necessary administrative support in filing, printing, and archiving documents.
• Administers and updates new and current client information in all required systems accurately.
• Maintains accurate and organized records of client accounts, transactions, and other relevant documentation and ensures compliance with record-keeping regulations.
• Performs customer service functions by answering broker requests and questions by telephone, email, chat, or in person.
• Contributes to the preparation of compliance reports related to brokerage operations and collaborates across broker and finance teams on business requirements.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies and assists in the preparation of compliance reports.
• Assists in identifying and mitigating operational risks and collaborates with risk management teams to implement controls.
• Supports the Brokerage team with any ad hoc tasks and requests.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Sales, and Risk Management preferred.
• Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
• Ability to multi-task, communicative effectively and work in a very past paced, high performing team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Highly Preferred: Active Property & Casualty license and/or willingness to obtain within the first 45 days of employment.
• 1+ years of Commercial insurance experience.

The target hourly rate range for this position is $25.00 - $31.25 per hour. The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
