The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional lines or specialty insurance experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a track record of independent, production-driven work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Professional Lines, E&S, Wholesale Brokerage, or Specialty Insurance experience preferred.
• Strong business development, sales, and relationship management skills.
• Experience marketing and placing professional liability risks.
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced, production driven environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with retail agents and brokers to generate new business opportunities.
• Market and place professional liability risks with carrier partners.
• Develop creative placement strategies and identify new product opportunities.
• Manage accounts of varying sizes while working toward handling larger and more complex risks independently.
• Cultivate new brokerage markets and carrier relationships.
• Travel to meet with agents, clients, and prospects throughout the region.
• Monitor production metrics including new business growth, retention, and profitability.
• Mentor and support junior brokers and team members.
• Work closely with underwriting and carrier partners to secure solutions for clients.

This individual will play a key role in developing retail agency relationships, placing complex professional lines business, and expanding market opportunities across a variety of specialty coverages.

Key Responsibilities

• Market and place professional liability risks with carrier partners
