Base pay range

$19.05/hr - $33.20/hr

Assists the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects as assigned. Leads and develops Team Members. Ensures a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times. Performs all duties in accordance with store SOPs, supports WFM core values and initiatives, and adheres to health and safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising.
  • Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
  • Assists Team Leader in analyzing sales, reports, and labor.
  • Supports in sales and expense projections and budgeting.
  • Assists with ordering and inventory management.
  • Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
  • Acts as point person and departmental lead in absence of Team Leader.
  • Maintains high standards of retail execution.
  • Fosters a positive environment of teamwork and morale.
  • Monitors customer flow and needs, directs Team Members accordingly.
  • Trains, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members.
  • Ensures safety and security standards are maintained.
  • Provides performance evaluations.
  • Models WFM vision and goals.

Experience

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Standing/walking 6-8 hours, sitting 1-4 hours in an 8-hour shift.
  • Use of hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Use of tools and machinery, possibly ladders.
