Job summary

Century-Furniture is seeking a skilled inspector to ensure whitewood products meet quality standards. The role focuses on evaluating wood and veneer characteristics to guide repair actions, refitting drawers and doors as needed, and assembling wood/veneer components.

The incumbent will observe for scratches and dents, implement repairs to restore original quality, and operate various hand tools. Safety compliance and a clean work area are essential, with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of woodwork repair experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of various hand sanders is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Using knowledgeable of different wood and veneer characteristics to determine repair action and quality
• Refits drawers and doors as needed
• Assembles a piece of wood or veneer to product as needed
• Observes all scratches, dents, dips; repairing case to original product quality
• Uses different wood related hand tools
• Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures
• All other duties as assigned
