Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a qualified activities attendant at Horseshoe Bay Resort to assist with Whitewater Putting, Activities, and Jungle Kids' Club programs. You will help deliver engaging experiences for resort guests and maintain high service standards.

You will train staff, manage daily duties, monitor safety, and ensure all activity areas stay clean and well stocked. The role requires teamwork, flexibility to cover shifts, and a focus on guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activities Manager to run Whitewater Putting, Activities, and Jungle Kids' Club.
• Ensure guest requests and satisfaction are prioritized.
• Handle guest problems by consulting with managers.
• Lead by example and provide above-and-beyond hospitality.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas across all activity spaces.
• Train and supervise associates on daily duties and schedules.

Job description

General Duties:

• Responsible for assisting the Activities Manager to ensure the efficient and professional running of the Whitewater Putting, Activities, and Jungle Kids' Club programs.
• Assist with ensuring all resort members/guests requests and satisfaction are of utmost importance.
• Handle resort members/guests' problems, complaints immediately by consulting with Activities/Jungle Kids' Club/Whitewater Manager.
• Lead by setting a superior example in carrying out all responsibilities and duties.
• Provide "Above and Beyond" hospitality towards all resort members/guests and staff.
• Be highly familiar and adhere to all Horseshoe Bay Resort policies, procedures, and standards.
• Always create a productive and positive atmosphere; have a good relationship with all associates and all departments.
• Ensure all associates are very familiar with all aspects and areas of the Resort. Activities program attendants are considered outside concierges.
• Be a problem seeker and solver.
• Ensure that work area is always clean, neat, and organized.
• Ensure Jungle Kids' Club, Activities, Live Oak Lawn, Paseo Pool activity areas are always clean, neat, organized and stocked properly with all necessary supplies.
• Assist with planning department meetings daily, weekly & monthly.
• Ensure associates are aware of daily duties and responsibilities, train new Associates. Assist all associates with questions, problems which might occur.
• Constantly ensure daily resort member/guests charges are accurate and member and/or room numbers are confirmed.
• Ensure that all supplies for Activities, Whitewater Putting, and Jungle Kids' Club programs are well maintained and notify Manager when running low.
• Ensure all necessary equipment is working properly. Notify manager of any problems immediately.
• Be prepared to work any shift when needed.
• Notify Manager or Maintenance of any issues in responsible area or Resort wide when noticed.
• Notify Director or IT of any issues in responsible area or Resort wide when noticed.
• Assist with weekly schedule, adjust according to occupancy & budget, and discuss with Manager.
• Ensure all staff are aware of schedules and confirm schedules.
• Ensure staff are at appropriate scheduled Activities events in a timely manner.
• Periodically audit the Whitewater Activity Center, Jungle Kids Club & Putting checklists to ensure staff are completing.
• Assist Manager with reviewing and updating Activities department SOPs.
• Assist Manager to hire, train, and develop staff.
• Continuously research new ideas, programs, etc. and discuss with Manager.
• Work with Events on groups/events to ensure all necessary information is received to accurately give pricing quotes.
• Work with Events to ensure that all rooms, equipment and supplies necessary for scheduled groups/events are accurately prepared for and supplied.

Employment Standards:

• Previous experience working with childcare or activities programs preferred.
• CPR and/or childcare certifications preferred.
• Report to work on time with proper uniform, including name tag.
• Personal appearance must comply with the standards of Horseshoe Bay Resort and Crescent.
• Have knowledge about events, promotions, etc.
• Develop knowledge about frequent resort members and/or resort guests.
• Be familiar with cultural differences to meet all different customer needs. Be knowledgeable about etiquette and protocols pertaining to a diverse guest population.

• Employee must regularly lift and/or move 15 - 50 pounds.
• Required to sit/stand, walk/run, push/pull, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crouch/crawl.
• Employee must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to interact with co-workers, customers and have a sense of TEAM.
• SAFETY AWARENESS: Maintain safety by adhering to safety policies; be responsible to report all accidents immediately. Support all safety programs. Proceed with caution when walking on slippery floors and in congested areas. Ensure that proper safety instructions are given before operating any equipment. Ensure Jungle Kids' Club and all activities are committed to providing our young guests and their families with a safe, fun and worry-free stay at Horseshoe Bay Resort. Ensure knowledge of the proper procedures for reporting accidents.
• Some of the work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions common to Texas.
