Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking a Senior Counsel/Partner level attorney to lead sophisticated white collar defense and government investigations from inquiry to resolution. You will represent companies, executives, and individuals facing federal and state actions, and develop strategy for investigations, internal reviews, and regulatory inquiries.

Qualifications

• Federal judicial clerkship is required.
• Active bar license in good standing.
• Significant white collar defense or government investigations experience.
• Senior-level experience appropriate for a Counsel or Partner position.
• Strong federal court, investigative, litigation, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated matters and senior level client relationships.
• Business plan required. Government enforcement experience, including DOJ/USAO/SEC or comparable agency experience, is valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead sophisticated white collar criminal defense and government investigation matters from initial inquiry through resolution.
• Represent companies, executives, professionals, and other individuals facing federal and state investigations and enforcement actions.
• Develop strategy for government investigations, grand jury matters, internal investigations, regulatory inquiries, and related litigation.
• Advise clients responding to subpoenas, investigative demands, interviews, and government scrutiny.
• Handle complex factual and legal analysis while developing creative, practical defense strategies.
• Take significant responsibility for written advocacy, witness preparation, negotiations, hearings, trials, and other proceedings as appropriate.
• Work directly with clients and collaborate with attorneys across offices in lean matter teams.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the development of the firm's litigation talent.
• Build and strengthen client relationships while executing a thoughtful business development plan.
• Contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the firm's white collar defense and investigations practice.

Qualifications

• Excellent judgment, analytical ability, communication skills, and professional credibility.
