Whirlpool Corporation in Southwest Michigan offers the Full Time Engineering Rotational Leadership Development (WERLD) program. It provides three 12‑month rotations to build a strong engineering foundation and leadership, with formal mentorship and global project exposure.

Qualifications

• Completion of Bachelor's or Master’s degree by May 2027 with a minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA.
• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, Mechatronics, Materials Science, or relevant engineering field.
• Must have indefinite US work authorization. visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Three rotations of 12 months each to build engineering fundamentals and leadership skills.
• Gain exposure to product development, research and development, systems engineering and product testing.
• Present to leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams across global projects.
• Support continuous improvement and apply Lean Six Sigma principles where appropriate.

Your day-to-day

The program consists of 3 rotations of 12 months each, with a focus on providing an introduction to engineering and technology from a global product perspective and developing leadership, technical, and cross‑functional competency.

Minimum Requirements

• Completion of Bachelor's or Master’s degree by May 2027 with a minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA
• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, Mechatronics, Materials Science, or relevant engineering field
• Must have indefinite US work authorization. Applicants who require visa sponsorship or work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for this program.
