Job summary

Saputo, Inc. in Newman, CA is seeking a full-time on-site team member for Whey Relief CIP, Milk Receiver and UF operations. You will perform CIP on plant equipment, inspect and document, and help maintain clean, sanitary facilities throughout the facility.

You will assist with cleaning, equipment maintenance, and chemical handling, including changing seals and gaskets, stocking chemicals, and positioning milk lines. Overtime may be required; forklift certs/licences underpin daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must read and write in English.
• Forklift certification within 15 days.
• Weigher’s, Sampler’s and State Pasteurizer licenses may be required.
• Experience with CIP and milk processing equipment is a plus.
• Ability to perform sanitation and documentation tasks daily.

Responsibilities

• CIP the RO, Separator, Whey UF, and the polisher.
• Clean CIP rooms and surrounding areas as needed.
• Inspect CIP filters and document findings.
• Complete pre-operational inspections and record results.
• Operate CIP Milk and Cream Silos, lines and trucks as required.
• Break down and clean equipment; change seals and gaskets.
• Inventory chemicals and maintain sanitation routines.
• Must obtain forklift certification within 15 days.
• Overtime may be required on down days for cleaning.

Ready to bring your best?* CIP the RO, Separator, Whey UF, and the polisher.* Clean CIP rooms.* Clean outside of Whey plant as necessary.* Inspect the CIP filters and document.* Complete pre-operational inspections and document.* Maintain clean CIP tanks. Visually inspect them daily and clean as needed.* Check chemical strengths with kits; responsible for completion of all associated documentation.* Assist other employees from all departments in cleaning when needed throughout the facility.* Lift and move 55-gallon containers of chemicals.* Check water filters weekly and replace as necessary.* Monitor CIP equipment and chemicals.* Visually check equipment after CIP.* Perform various plant sanitation duties as needed.* Need to obtain forklift certification within 15 days.* Break down and clean equipment and pumps.* Change seals, and gaskets on all equipment and lines.* Perform housekeeping duties in all assigned areas.* Overtime required on down days to disassemble and clean equipment.
