Position: Whey Protein Bagger

Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time and/or Part-Time

Description

Position Summary:

The packaging operator uses forklifts and palletizers, fills bags and totes in the whey plant, and operates computer-based systems. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, understanding the differences between bags and pallets for various customers, and proper placement within the racking system.

Essential Job Functions:

• Completes pre-operational checks on all equipment before starting a process.
• Operates forklift safely.
• Maintains good housekeeping at all times.
• Follows safety policies and procedures.
• Performs minor maintenance tasks.
• Operates equipment according to SOPs and adjusts based on system outputs.
• Learn and operate computer controls.
• Adheres to GMP guidelines and company policies.
• Follows all safety procedures related to job functions.
• Collects samples as per policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule:

• Weekly rotating schedule: 1 week at 4am, 1 week at 5am, 1 week at 10am. Tuesdays and Thursdays may have earlier start times.
• Workdays are Monday through Saturday, five days a week.

Wage & Benefits:

• Starting wage: $20.50/hour.
• Shift premium: $3/hour from 6pm to 6am, Monday through Friday, and all day Saturday.
• Sunday shift premium: 1.5x.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires:

• Bending and lifting.
• Long periods of standing and walking.
• Lifting up to 60 lbs from the ground.
• Good finger, hand, and multi-limb dexterity.
