Job summary

Josphe Gallo Farms is seeking a Plant Operations Supervisor to lead daily operations, improve efficiency, and ensure quality production. You will manage the plant team, enforce SOPs, and uphold safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Applicants should have a minimum A.A. with B.S/B.A. preferred and at least five years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, preferably dairy. English required; Spanish a plus. Flexibility for non-traditional hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum A.A. with B.S or B.A. preferred.
• 5 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience in dairy operations or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with GMP and food safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and drive efficiency, high yields, quality production and equipment operation.
• Direct frontline employees including hiring, reviews, rewards and discipline.
• Establish SOPs, workload, schedules and training needs; ensure safe operation.

Requirements

Summary of Functions

Lead effective daily operations and develop highly skilled plant operations. Support the departmental goals of efficiency, high yields, quality production and equipment operation

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Directly manage operational employees through functional leads establishing daily objectives
• Responsibility for frontline employees including hiring, reviews, rewards and discipline
• Manage daily processes, including but not limited to:
• EstablishOperational procedures (SOPs)
• Establish workloadrequirements, work schedules and plain task levelassignments
• Establish training needs and certification requirements
• Ensure safe operation
• Maintain composure in stressful situations, making sound decisions and communicating with management team as needed
• Motivate employees to higher achievements
• Treat all employees fairly and with consistency
• Support the development of a process improvement program
• Manage to KPI standards established by operations manager
• Recognize trends/indicators and reacts proactively to address potential problems
• Ensure employees maintain industryguidelines for GMP
• Proficiency in English required with Spanish language skillspreferred
• Computer proficient

Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities

• Comply with all Plant, State, and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations
• Comply with GMP's in the plant
• Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system

Position reports to the Plant Manager. Direct reports for this position include:

Frontline departmental employees

Qualifications

• Minimum A.A. with B.S or B.A. preferred
• 5 years of supervisory experience
• Experience working in food manufacturing company, preferably dairy operations or related
• Proven background with safety programs and GMP
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours isrequired
• Food, CPG or USDA/ FDA environments
