Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in New Wilmington, PA seeks a supervisor to oversee daily Whey Facility operations. You will monitor plant operations, ensure product quality, and lead sanitation and safety initiatives.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, budgeting for the Whey Evaporator, maintaining records, and coordinating with inspectors. Prior dairy supervision and boiler/polisher knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
• Cheese/dairy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ongoing plant operations and report to management.
• Assure that product conforms to company and customer specifications.
• Oversee plant sanitation.
• Staff, train, schedule & evaluate plant employees.
• Oversee plant equipment maintenance as required.
• Maintain plant charts and production records.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of boilers.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of water polisher.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies.
• Participate in planning and coordination of plant projects.
• Work with Regulatory and Customer Inspectors.
• Participate in and promote safety programs.
• Responsible for waste management.
• Develop and manage KPIs and budgets for the Whey Evaporator.
• Perform Whey Department Supervisor's duties when necessary (vacations, absence, etc.)

Requirements

Education and Experience
