Job description

Summary:

This role involves the safe operation of the whey bagging line according to SOPs, with monitoring of product quality. The position reports to the Whey Supervisor and has no direct reports.

Schedule:

• Night shift: 5pm - 5:30am
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed in a 24/7 operation.

Pay Rate:

• $25.52/hour
• $0.75 evening pay differential (6:00pm - 6:00am)
• $1.00 weekend pay differential (Saturday & Sunday)

Responsibilities:

• Operate bagger equipment efficiently per SOPs.
• Monitor whey powder and packaged product quality.
• Conduct hourly scale and metal detector checks.
• Reconcile bag/pallet weights and complete daily checklists.
• Enter data into MES and complete paperwork accurately.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Maintain a clean work environment according to GMP standards.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass a physical abilities test (bending, reaching, lifting, climbing stairs/ladders).
• Availability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Preferred Skills:

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical or maintenance aptitude.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn SAP or similar systems.
• Previous food industry experience beneficial.

Physical Demands & Environment:

• Work in wet, slippery, noisy environments with high heat and humidity.
• Must have good vision, including color and depth perception.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and walk stairs regularly.
