Lifecare Medical Services Inc is seeking full- and part-time wheelchair van drivers to provide transport for patients to medical appointments and treatments. You will operate ambulatory vans, ensure safety, and maintain accurate transportation logs.

Responsibilities include patient assistance, adherence to safety standards, basic life support in emergencies, and daily maintenance tasks. A valid state driver’s license and reliable availability are required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide safe, efficient transport of patients in the ambulette as scheduled by dispatch.
• Operate ambulette per driving standards and safety procedures; ensure seat belts and patient security.
• Record transportation logs and collect required patient documentation.
• Maintain ambulette; conduct cleaning, fueling, and basic maintenance reporting.
• Provide basic life support (first aid/ CPR) in emergencies to patients.
• Attend all mandatory staff meetings as scheduled.
• Comply with FCC regulations when using communications equipment.
• Order supplies and equipment as needed from purchasing.
• Perform safety checks (fluids, tires, horn, fuel).
• Attend to passengers by assisting in getting in/out of the ambulette.

Job Summary:

Provide transportation services for patients traveling to doctor's appointments, physical therapy, or other medical treatments.

Job Functions:

• Provide safe and efficient transport of patients in the ambulette as scheduled by dispatch. This includes but is not limited to assisting patients to and from ambulette; efficient transfer of patient to receiving personnel.
• Operate/drive ambulette in accordance with company's driving standards, policies and procedures. Ensure safety of bus occupants by observing safe driving practices; seat belt application and general patient security.
• Record transportation logs; obtain patient documentation; complete all forms are required by policy.
• Conduct regular ambulette inventory and equipment testing to ensure proper operation. Report and document all needed repaires to proper maintenance department and management.
• Comply with all FCC regulations and company policy when utilizing electronic communications equipment.
• Order supplies and equipment as needed from purchasing.
• Perform general safety and proper operations check; includes but is not limited to: fluid checks, tire checks, horn check, fuel checks.
• Maintain ambulette; includes but is not limited to: washing & waxing exterior; cleaning interior; re-fueling, adding air to tires, checking oil.
• Provide basic life support- first aid or CPR in emergency situations to patients.
• Attend all mandatory staff meetings as scheduled.
• Current and valid state driver's license
