The role focuses on safe and timely transportation of wheelchair-bound patients to healthcare facilities, residences, and other destinations, while delivering professional and courteous service. You will operate a wheelchair van, assist patients, ensure proper security and equipment, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain trip logs.

Qualifications

• At least 20 years of age.
• State Driver's License.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a wheelchair van in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
• Assist patients in safely entering and exiting the vehicle, including the proper use of wheelchair lifts and securement systems.
• Provide safe transport for patients to and from healthcare facilities, residences, and other destinations.
• Ensure all wheelchair securement and safety equipment is properly used and maintained.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate trip logs and required documentation.
• Provide a high level of customer service to patients, families, and facility staff.
• Communicate any delays, incidents, or safety concerns to dispatch and management.
• Assist with patient movement, including pushing, rolling, and sliding as necessary.
