Job summary

Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking full-time ATS wheelchair van operators to support non-emergency and interfacility patient transports. You will drive, load, secure, and transfer patients, prioritizing safety throughout all transport stages.

A valid Indiana driver’s license with a clean record and BLS certification (or attainment on hire) are required; prior driving experience is preferred. We encourage First Responder certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Requires a valid Indiana Operator's license and good driving history.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or attainment upon hire.
• Prior vehicle driving and/or training experience preferred.
• First Responder certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives and operates ATS wheelchair van units for non-emergency and interfacility transports.
• Ensures safe operations including vehicle operations and patient movement.
• Loads, transports, and unloads patients and equipment while the vehicle is stationary and moving.
• Maintains patient safety during transfer, loading, securing, and unloading.
